Dear Members:
     Well, it's hard to believe it is wheeling season again, especially after the horrible winter we had and the flood! I honestly thought it would be July or August before we would be on the trails again. Just a reminder that the trails aren't all dry enough to ride on, but if the weather stays the way it has been it won't be long before we are riding, so please be patient!
     We had our first meeting for 2008 on May 4th. Elections were held and it was unanimously voted for all officers to keep their positions for 2 years. If you need to call, the numbers are:

EVENTS:
June 15th "Father's Day" - We will have our annual ride, but with a few changes. Everyone will pay for the meal and then receive tickets that will be used for door prizes. We will serve the usual fantastic meal put on by our great cooks. Registration will be 8:30am-9:45am and everyone will leave at 10:00am with the meal and prizes following the ride. We know with the heating bills and the price of gas that times are tough for everyone, but we hope everyone is ready to take a break and have a good time!!

JULY 13TH - Ride to Mars Hill. Leave from McGuires in Houlton at 9am. Pack a lunch because we will be having a picnic up at the windmills.

AUGUST 23 RD - Ride to Mill Pond in Hodgdon. Leave from Oakfield at 9:00am.

     Also, discussed was a weekend ride up around Fort Kent, Madawaska and St. Agatha. This will be discussed further, so if you might be interested let someone know.

     To keep track of what is going on or if anything has changed get on our website or come to one of our meetings that are held the first Sunday of the month at 4:00pm at the Island Falls Fish & Game, we would love to see you there! The Aroostook Riders of Houlton and Knowles Corner ATV Clubs also have websites you can get on. Knowles Corner has a Raffle Ride on June 21 and on July 19 a night ride to Grammy's. Rain date is July 26.

NEW BUSINESS: It is now time to renew memberships, so I have included a membership form. Those who have already joined, we thank you. I will only be sending one form out this year, so if you lose it, you will have to get on our website or go to a local business and get another one. Sorry for any inconvenience.
